Terms of Service

Welcome to Trust Ledger. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before using Trust Ledger.

By using Trust Ledger, you agree to these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy and any other applicable policies. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our platform.

2. Platform Overview

Trust Ledger is a decentralized freelancing platform that connects freelancers and clients through blockchain technology. We facilitate project agreements, payments, and dispute resolution via smart contracts and our native Trust Ledger (TL) token.

3. User Accounts

  • Registration: To use Trust Ledger, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

  • Account Security: Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Trust Ledger is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

4. Use of the Platform

  • Permitted Use: You may use Trust Ledger only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the platform in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others or violate any laws.

  • Prohibited Activities: You may not use Trust Ledger for any fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activities. This includes, but is not limited to, misrepresentation, harassment, spamming, or distributing malware.

5. Payments and Fees

  • Transaction Fees: Trust Ledger charges fees for transactions on the platform. Fees are disclosed before completing any transaction and may vary depending on the payment method used.

  • Payment Processing: Payments are processed through smart contracts and are held in escrow until the terms of the contract are fulfilled. We do not control the timing of payments, which are subject to blockchain transaction processing times.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • Decentralized Dispute Resolution: Disputes between freelancers and clients are resolved through Trust Ledger’s decentralized dispute resolution system. Users participate in resolving disputes through voting and community engagement.

  • Resolution Process: If a dispute arises, you agree to follow the platform’s procedures for resolution and participate in good faith.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All content, trademarks, and intellectual property rights associated with Trust Ledger are owned by Trust Ledger or its licensors. You may not use or reproduce any content without our prior written consent.

  • User Content: By submitting content to Trust Ledger, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating the platform.

8. Privacy and Data Security

  • Privacy Policy: Your use of Trust Ledger is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

  • Data Security: We implement security measures to protect your data. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

9. Termination

  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm the Trust Ledger platform or community.

  • Termination of Service: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Trust Ledger platform at any time without prior notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Disclaimer of Warranties: Trust Ledger is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the platform.

  • Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Trust Ledger be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Trust Ledger operates, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
